Canadian Immigration from USA to Canada??!!?
March 3rd, 2010 | by admin |Ok i have no clue how to go about doing this
I have a boyfriend in Canada i want to be with forever. BUT we cant find any one to contact about
doing this for about a week and a half now I’ve been searching for numbers too call and its all prerecording. All the people we try to contact are either prerecorded or not allowed to talk to people
In USA. Please someone help us, I’ll give you the information i have to help me with a solution.
So Basically me and my boyfriend have been together for about a year now.
I visited him for 2 weeks (as long as i was allowed to) and had to leave Feb, 8th.
So I’ve already gone to see him.
I want to be able to stay there and not go back this time so here is basically everything about me:
I don’t have many ties to the USA never had a job, don’t go to school, have little family.
I don’t have very much money im on social security. So i do have a somewhat steady income.
My boyfriend has a place, will have a job soon, is 21, I’m 18.
I dont have any friends other then him in Canada.
Ive never been in Canada before besides that 1 time for 2 weeks to visit him.
Ive been with him over a year and been dating him long distance, in a very committed relationship.
If you want to know anything else that would help me more just IM me at my email, ask for it.
What i need to know is how i can go to canada perminatly without having to come back to USA.
Who i can call to help me with this permanant residency.
What are the terms and qualifications.
How much money its going to cost me.
If i will have to get married to him (if so how to go about doing that)
and anything else that can help me please! i need to know step by step how to do this.
If i am not able to immigrate there myself is there a way i can go there for a couple months not just a week or two.
You are not eligible for immigration, but your friend can sponsor you if you are married. There are going to be questions about his ability to guarantee your support, and the wisdom of marrying someone you have only met for two weeks.
Your social security payments will end when you leave the US and will not be counted as income.

Immigration Canada will assume, or at least suspect, that the only reason you’d marry your Canadian bf is to gain some kind of status in Canada.
As it stand now, you are ineligible to immigrate to Canada – we already have more than enough of our own people who are unskilled and on welfare.
You do not qualify as a common law relationship because you haven’t been together long enough and – face it – actually seeing someone for 2 weeks is just not enough time for any relationship.
Yeah, I suppose you could try getting married but Canadian immigration officials will suspect marriage fraud. Unless he is actually working AND earning enough money to support you then you are just simply
out
of
luck
Look through http://www.cic.gc.ca and read through the whole website very carefully.

what everyone else says is true – at 18 you have no idea what you want out of life and getting married at age 18 is the DUMBEST idea yet
visiting for only 2 weeks is NOT really getting to know them.
when my fiance came to see me, he stayed for 3 months!!!!!
How did you get into Canada since you have no job, no home, ties and no income??
you will find it impossible to get a job in Canada with no decent qualifications –
you are just another uneducated high school drop out.
You really should be refused entry to Canada under immigration rules the next time you try and enter.

seeing that you are not educated or have any work skills needed in canada the only way you could live here is if you marry him and he QUALIFIES to sponsor you on a spouse visa
